I remember when I was in elementary school, they made us take a hearing test. I think they wanted to find out of there were any kids that suffered from hearing loss so that they could help them. I passed and most of my friends passed, so we continued on with our education without any extra help.

I've been deaf in my left ear all of my life. I haven't ever used hearing aids because I've never been sure if they will help. My doctor thinks I'm deaf because of nerve damage. Would a hearing aid be able to assist if that were the case?

I have not had a hearing test in years and I think that I might need one. That would be probably be a good thing to get done. Then I will not have to wonder if anything is going on or not.

It definitely is important for an employer to know if there is a hearing difficulty. That's why these sorts of screenings are great, especially since it is so in depth. I didn't know the audiometric screening process could be so helpful. Luckily hearing aids are so simple to use, it just makes sense to get a screening.

I've never had a hearing test before, but I'm pretty sure I have hearing loss. There are some times where all I hear is static in my left ear if things are too loud, and I can't hear as well out of that ear. I should probably have a hearing test at least once in my life. http://www.allearsinhearing.com.au/hearing/hearing_tests_and_hearing_loss

I'm beginning to worry about my mother's hearing. She seems to be missing a lot of things, and a healthy chunk of what we say to her has to be repeated more than once. I think she needs to see a hearing specialist. Right now, I just want to get her screened to get an idea of whether my worries are warranted or not. We can plan the rest from there.

Thank you for the tips on cleaning the hearing aids. It's really easy for them to get caked in wax and other substances, so it's important to maintain their cleanliness. Do you know if a hearing clinic can clean them for you?
